Our Programs

Have a need? Call Love INC. The first thing you’ll hear is the voice of a caring, well equipped volunteer from one of our partner churches. A volunteer who will take the time to listen and care for you; who will inquire about the presenting need, but also explore the broader context of your situation. Everything we do revolves around relationships because Love INC isn’t just about meeting needs, it’s about meeting people where they are at, and helping them achieve their God-given potential. Here are a few of the ways we do that in our community.

Clearinghouse

The Love INC Clearinghouse takes many requests for help each year. These calls are answered by caring volunteers who listen to understand people’s situations and direct them to the most appropriate source of help. This can mean a referral to an area agency or services provided by area churches and volunteers through the Clearinghouse.

Emergency Rent and Utility Assistance

Love INC provides emergency financial assistance to individuals and families facing eviction from their home or the shut-off of their utilities. Individuals receiving financial assistance must be able to maintain their household after assistance is given and have income sufficient to meet their ongoing needs. Because the need for assistance is great, applications can only be accepted from the 1st through the 7th day of the month. Applications received after the 7th of the month will not be accepted.

Happy Bottoms
Diaper Ministry

Love INC collaborates with Happy Bottoms, the Kansas City Area Diaper Bank, to empower, connect, and impact low income families by alleviating diaper needs in the KC community.

Family Care Plan

Love INC keeps in touch with assisted families through its monthly care plan ministry. The Care Plan is a promise to families receiving financial assistance that we will stay connected by providing six months of ongoing Gap and Prayer Ministry assistance.

Gap Ministries

Love INC helps churches build ministries to fill the gaps in services by identifying unmet needs in the community. We help churches organize services and products to meet real needs without duplicating existing resources. Yet, what is offered is much more than products and services, our relational approach ensures that each person is seen as an individual and offered prayer, encouragement, and ongoing connection.

Prayer Team

One of the Core Values of Love INC is prayer. As a way of living out that value, Love INC has developed a prayer ministry that connects client, volunteers, staff, churches, and board members in a network of prayer.

Annual Events

Easter with Love
In the Spring, Love INC serves families in need with Easter Bags of Love. Each bag is filled with candy, toys and an age appropriate Bible.
Mom’s Day Baby Shower
Love INC partners with the Liberty Kiwanis Club with a Mom’s Day Baby Shower, which helps provide baby care items for our Happy Bottoms and Family Care Plan babies.
Kits for Kids
In the Fall, Love INC partners with area school districts to help kids head back to school looking and feeling their best with kits that contain personal hygiene items.
Christmas with Love

At Christmas time Love INC provides a complete Christmas experience for struggling families with a gift of Christmas ornaments, stockings for the kids with toys, sweets, and winter hats, and a Christmas Story book.

Sharing the Love
Love INC works with church partners, business, community groups, service organizations and clubs to Share the Love of Christ through local care pantry drives, and emergency assistance fundraising.
